Roger Waters Wall Live DVD 2014

Roger Waters Wall Live DVD 2014

After waiting many years for the news, it is finally announced that Roger Waters The Wall Live DVD will be getting screened at the Toronto International Film Festival from 6th September 2014.

The movie of the Wall Live shows, which were performed from September 2010 to September 2013, will no doubt have lots of footage from the concerts and other materials that have been filmed recently by Roger Waters – like his visit to his father’s grave in Italy that featured a film crew.

As more information becomes available it shall be posted on this website and probably more in depth on our sister website Neptune Pink Floyd.

Check out our latest story on the Roger Waters Live Film DVD.

Once the DVD and probably Blu-Ray are released, expect a full review and updated about the contents of the new Wall Live DVD/film. I imagine there will be all kinds of goodies on there for us fans to enjoy, with not much being released over the last few years, and most of it being repackaged materials, it is nice to get something fresh, new and exciting!

Roger Waters New Album

Roger Waters New Album

Now that Roger Waters has finished his epic 219 date tour of The Wall, he has some time on his hands to be working on his next studio album.

Roger said in a Rolling Stone interview that he has now recorded a 55 minute demo of his new rock opera album, the first since Amused to Death in 1992.

“I finished a demo of it last night. It’s 55 minutes long. It’s songs and theatre as well. I don’t want to give too much away, but it’s couched as a radio play. It has characters who speak to each other, and it’s a quest. It’s about an old man and a young child trying to figure out why they are killing the children.”

More Wall Concerts?

Roger also did not rule out the possibility of playing more Wall concerts, although he does seem to be in need of a break from it for a while.

“I’m suffering a little bit of withdrawal after ending the Wall tour,” he says. “It’s sort of a relief to not have to go out and do that every night, but they’re such a great team. There were 180 of us together everyday. That piece was very moving every night.”

On doing more Wall concerts, Roger said, “I’m not thinking about that right now,” he says. “But that’s not to say I won’t. I think there’s an audience there. We did do 219 shows, which is a lot.”

The Wall Live DVD?

As well as working on his new rock opera studio album, I hope Roger is working on the production of The Wall Live DVD. Several shows were recorded from the epic tour and I am sure many of us fans would love to get a copy of the show on DVD to relive the amazing event. Although the show was certainly a thing to go and see live to feel the thud of sound in your chest and appreciate the visuals from the show, having a nice cup of tea and sitting back to relive those glorious moments would be quite a thing in itself.

David Gilmour Album?

Crosby Stills and Nash have been working with David Gilmour recently recording David’s new studio album so its not just Roger Waters at it! More details on that as they become available.
