Roger Waters Wall Tour Photography Policy | Canon EOS 500D
As a keen photographer I would rather like to know what the policy is on photography during Roger Waters The Wall Live Tour!
There are pros and cons to photography during a concert and uncertainty about what the policy is on the tour!
So, if you have been to a concert on the tour so far and know what the official policy is (on the tour or at the venue) then it would be nice to hear from you! Leave a comment on this post or on the forum thread Photography Policy on Roger Waters Tour!
Pros and Cons of Photography on Roger Waters Wall Tour
Having paid nearly £90 per ticket to watch Roger Waters The Wall Live I would like to focus on the show and not either my photography or other people’s photography. Hence I would ideally like to take 5-10 photos with my Canon EOS 500D DSLR camera using the viewfinder with the flash and preview screen switched off. This way I could be discreet in snapping some photos of the tour to share with NPF people and create a nice historical document of the event.
With the flash and preview screen switched off, I would be one less person holding a phone with digital camera aloft disrupting everyone sat behind me!
DSLR or Point-And-Shoot?

Compact Digital Camera | Lumix DMC FX30
I have a feeling that taking professional camera’s into the arena’s on the tour would possibly not be allowed but a blind eye may be turned to people using mobile phones with built in cameras or amateur point-and-shoot compact cameras.
However, I would disagree with this policy as often the digital compact cameras have no viewfinder so you have to have the bright and disruptive preview screen switched on thus creating visual disturbance for lots of people who have paid nearly £90 for a ticket!
I would therefore like to take my big DSLR in but, as it is a rather expensive piece of equipment, I do not want to either have it confiscated or be forced to leave the camera with the security people during the show and get it back later… with luck! Anyway, can a venue actually legally get away with confiscating equipment/property not belonging to them??
Photography Policy on Roger Waters Tour?

Roger Waters Wall Tour Photography Policy
So, has anyone been to a concert on the Roger Waters Tour so far with a DSLR and got away with it? Looking at a photo of a sign at the Air Canada Center, there was no policy against photography by the looks of it, just audio and video recording equipment.
If you have any thoughts on people taking photos at concerts, the policy on this tour or something else related, then please leave a comment on this post.
