Roger Waters is performing The Wall Live in Argentina tonight at River Plate Football Stadium in Buenos Aires for an amazing 9 consecutive nights! Fans in Argentina are certainly in for a treat watching The Wall Live tour as it is a magnificent show and certainly a lot more than just music! It is a visual treat and an experience!
No doubt most fans in Argentina would have by now been tempted to watch a video or see a picture of The Wall Live show. The Roger Waters tour has been rumbling on since 2010 when it kicked off in Canada on 15th September 2010 at Air Canada Center, Toronto, Ontario. No pictures of video or written accounts can prepare the mind for the show which has to be seen live and experienced to appreciate the true value of it! Your humble narrator got to watch the show at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England. I hope the talk from Roger Waters of bringing the tour back to Europe either in late 2012 or 2013 comes to fruition.
Let’s hope that Roger Waters is not having equipment shipped to Argentina via the Falkland Islands as Cristina Fernandez de Kercher will have the ships turned around! Anyhow, the dockers are currently on strike in Argentina so, hopefully, the equipment went by land in scores of shipping containers to avoid such a situation!

Roger Waters today met the Argentina President Cristina Fernandez de Kercher for a 40 minute meeting in which it was reported the issue of the Falkland Islands was not brought up. Roger did, however, mention the case of a British soldier that died during the war and was buried as an NN in the islands. He handed Fernández de Kirchner a card with the soldier’s mother’s name and contact information, with the hopes that the Argentine team of forensic anthropology, which is dedicated to find and identify bodies of those kidnapped and killed during the last military dictatorship can do the same for the soldier.
After Argentina, Roger is off to Brazil on 25th March then to Mexico on 27th April after a good month off. Perhaps he will have a honeymoon in that nice month long rest as he, of course, recently got married to his long-term partner Laurie Durning.
