Roger Waters The Exonerated Play by Culture Project 2012

Roger Waters will be joining the cast of The Exonerated to act out the role of Gary Gauger in New York’s Bleeker Street theatre. He will be joining the crew between November 27th 2012 and December 2nd 2012.

Although Roger has a striking resemblance to Richard Gere it remains to be seen if he can pull off the role of Gary Gauger in his acting debut.

The Exonerated is a documentary play about 6 death row inmates who were convicted on very thin evidence and later released amidst overwhelming evidence of their innocence. It has been running for over ten years and getting excellent reviews from the likes of the New York Times.

Roger Waters Stand Up For Heroes 2012

Roger Waters is set to join John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen amongst others for a charity concert in New York in aid of Stand Up for Heroes.

The event, held at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Thursday 8th November 2012 at 8pm, is to raise money to help soldiers and their families that have been injured by war. The charity has generated over $10m to date.

This year’s event, which is the 6th annual event, will also feature Mike Birbiglia, Ricky Gervais, Patton Oswalt, Jon Stewart, and Robin Williams. The band is made up of military veterans who Roger and the others will be performing with. This is certainly an excellent opportunity and I am sure the veterans will have a great time being involved in such a fantastic live music event!

Bob Woodruff, co-founder of the Bob Woodruff Foundation who are putting on the event said, “We look forward to this event all year, because we are always honoured when we get to meet the inspirational men and women who have served our country so heroically. In addition, we are amazed at the calibre of talent we are able to pull in for the benefit. These performers simply want to help give back to the men and women who have sacrificed so much. We hope that the social media component, new this year, will enable more people to enjoy the show—and will raise even more awareness for the cause that lies behind it.”

Roger Waters 2013 Tour

Roger Waters has stated in interviews this year that he will be performing in 2013 in Europe. At least one reliable source, a primary market ticketing website, has started the promotional activity around the tour. There will seemingly be at least three concerts in Germany and I am sure there will be lots of other concerts around Europe although this is not confirmed yet. The German Roger Waters 2013 Tour will happen in East, West and Rhine-Main areas.
