The video of Roger Waters and David Gilmour performing together at the Hoping Foundation charity event is now available for you to watch above.
Filmed by Gilmour’s wife, Polly Samson, it shows clips the pair performing the 4 songs they played on July 10th 2010.
They played four songs including ‘To Know Him Is To Love Him’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, ‘Comfortably Numb’ and ‘Another Brick in the Wall (Part Two)’.
On his Facebook page, Roger Waters wrote, “Here is a 2 minute taster of the gig David and I did together for The Hoping Foundation back in July. The sound quality is crap but it was a great night for me, and for him, and also for “US and THEM” . Please support the Hoping Foundation, they are doing great work for refugee children. David and I have given the charity the whole 29 mins and I’m told they’re going to put it up at approximately 5.00pm (UK time) on Monday. Go to http://hopingfoundation.org/ to see the video and please support the charity if you can. Roger”

Perhaps open for debate is David attempting those high pitches in the first song To Know Him is to Love Him!
Wish You Were Here sounded much better even if Roger must insist on applying his post Pink Floyd vocal style and melody on the song!
Interesting swearing after Wish You Were Here even if a donation did follow.
Comfortably Numb was a small taster of what David Gilmour re-uniting with Roger Waters on The Wall Tour 2010 or 2011 will be like! Of course the staging will be much more grand and the experience of seeing that live will be something else. Still no news on which date David Gilmour will be choosing to perform with Roger Waters.
Shame someone stood in front of the camera during the second solo and the sound was distorted somewhat! He did get a recording on his phone by the looks of it so perhaps to redeem himself… well… you never know what YouTube can throw up!
They finished with Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2) which is probably their most famous song amongst non-fans. haha
Your Thoughts?
Please leave any comments or thoughts you may have below! This is your big moment!

AWESOME! They still got it!
I’m getting very excited for the 9/24 show in Chicago.
Just watched the full Waters / Gilmour video. Wow! Never thought I’d see the day! Roger is right, the sound is crap but it is wonderful to see them together: makes you wonder what could be! Guys, how about doing something on September 15th to remember Rick? The timing was never better & please bring Mr Mason with you!!
So great to see Roger & David together again and enjoying themselves.
Id have loved to have been there.
Great stuff.
I get tears in my eyes to see them play together again. I am very happy for them.
It was great, they deserve to be happy again to make music together.
I can’t wait to see Roger on The Wall Tour in Arnhem The Netherlands on 8 april 2011.
Perhaps with David ? And a last new song ?
With Love.
The boys sound and look great. Nice to see them together after all the acrimony. I certainly don’t want to see any children homeless or hungry but why don’t rockers ever come out in support of the Israeli children who are attacked and bombed every day by so-called Palestinian supporters like Hamas? Don’t they know that “Palestinian” refugees only exist because the Arab world wants them to stay that way?
Completely awesome to see Roger and David playing together again. I would loved to have been able to see more of the show (a big thanks to Mr. D-bag standing on his chair). I can’t wait to see The Wall show in Tampa this November.
Really great, but who was that drummer? Was he drunk or what?
grtz from Holland
@Josh… It’s a shame for you that the rest of the world knows what’s going on and we don’t buy into the propaganda from Israel that you obviously believe. ‘Arab’s want them to stay that way’… That’s laughable, if it wasn’t so sad what Israel’s doing to the Palestinians. Israeli children don”t need money, cause you got enough of it! Glad to see Dave and Roger standing up for PALESTINIAN children. Great work Roger and Dave! Maybe we’ll see some new Floyd eventually. But it’s good enough to see you guys playing together and having fun! Pigs do fly!
Perhaps if they have finally buried the hatchet they will at last organise/allow the release of some of that precious archival material and match most of their comtemporaries (e.g. Page’s L.Zep efforts!) Howzabout the BBC recordings, or even, at least as fitting tribute to lost compatriot Rick, at last that oft mooted 5.1 quad WYWH?
And not yet another umpteenth manifestation of The Wall … AGAIN!!!
Fantastic to see the boys together again.
Polly should have told the grot on the chair to sit down.
